Modern Warfare 3 Wins VGA’s Shooter of the Year

Activision heavyweight Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 took home the Shooter of the Year award at this year’s Video Game Awards hosted by Spike TV.

Modern Warfare 3 had some stiff competition in the category, with other big hitters Rage, Gears of War 3 and ever present rivals Battlefield 3 making up the list. The award was presented by the ever eccentric former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen. Sledgehammer’s Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, along with Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward, Robert Bowling, excepted the award and thanked all the fans for playing the game day in and day out.

Unfortunately they went over the time limit for their acceptance speech and Robert Bowling gave the award to Michael Condrey and bolted, leaving him the victim of a live tea-bagging on stage from a cosplaying soldier. If you wish to see it for yourself, it can be viewed here.
