Shotguns Next in Line to be “Nerfed”
People in general complain about anything and everything, and it’s no different in Modern Warfare 3. Whether it’s the FMG9 and Type95 being “OP” and needing nerf or whether it’s the lag compensation Infinity Ward has implemented, people complain.
People complain, but it’s Infinity Wards job to find out whether the complaints are based on facts. Just because you suck at the game doesn’t mean anything and everything is overpowered and that Modern Warfare 3 is coded the same way PacMan was.
Either way, according to Robert Bowling, Shotguns will be the next weapon to receive a nerf. When asked “what do I have to do to get a response from you about the Extended Mags glitch on Shotguns?” Robert Bowling answered with:
In this case it’s not lowering the damage output of the shotguns directly, but adjusting the amount of pellets a shotgun fires when it’s equipped with Extended Magazines. You may or may not know, but some weapons receive extra bonuses when they’re equipped with a certain combination of attachments / perks. We’ve mentioned this on the forum and you can read more about it there.
tl;dr: The Shotgun / Extended Magazines “glitch” will be addressed and we’ll most likely see the multiplier in the pellet count removed.
