Modern Warfare 3 World Premiere on May 23

Activision has announced via the Modern Warfare 3 Facebook page that the official Modern Warfare 3 world premiere will be on May 23. More specifically, it will be during the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals on ESPN.

Coverage of this game starts at 9.00 PM (2.00 AM GMT )and finishes at 11.30 PM EST, therefore during one of the ad breaks the video will be shown. I’ve got no idea what we’re going to see some. Maybe some glimpses of the campaign or god forbid,  maybe even a brief look at multiplayer action, though I wouldn’t hold my breath on the latter. This all reminds me of the Black Ops single player trailer which aired during the Jets-Vikings NFL game

Why the Modern Warfare 3 world premiere will be aired during the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals, nobody knowns. Maybe Activision hoped the fourth game would be the final game. Or it could be Activision just wanted to reveal Modern Warfare 3 during a high-profile sporting event to ensure a huge captive audience. Who can say? Regardless of the reasons for its timing, you can check out the details of the event on Facebook and tune in to ESPN to see the big reveal on May 23.

Will you be tuning in to the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals on ESPN to see the Modern Warfare 3 premiere?
