Modern Warfare 3 Patch notes, last updated on March 16th, 2012. Treyarch had a neat little forum thread with the patches notes for each patch. Infinity Ward has done something similar, but the patch notes thread is just not up to snuff.

Below you'll find all the patches Modern Warfare 3 has seen so far. I will update as I get the information. If I've missed something and you know for a fact it should be included in the patch notes, just reply to this thread and be sure to include a source.

Modern Warfare 3 Hotfix (Friday, March 16th, 2012)

• Minimum damage buff to LMGs

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.10 (PS3 Only, Thursday, February 28th, 2012)

• Xbox TU9 features.
• Voice volume slider fix.
• HD rendering for PS3 theater.
• Host migration update.
• Anti lag balance adjustment for 1/2 bar connections vs. 3/4 bar connections

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.09 (Xbox 360: Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 - PlayStation 3: Thursday, February 28th, 2012)

• 400 new ranks included in 5 new prestige levels.
• Ability to view Clan Rank on player card in-game when enlisted in a clan on Call of Duty ELITE.
• Ability to select country flags as clan titles.
• Additional network optimizations.
• Additional ELITE push to game CaC validation.
• Support for ELITE Clan Operations end future features.
• Fixed PM issue where failed invites were preventing large parties from congregating.
• Repair of writing of the games played field of the player stats so we can sweep LBs and correct averages on the backend. (This process will commence shortly.)

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.08 (Xbox 360: Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 - PlayStation 3: Thursday, February 2nd, 2012)

• Networking enhancements.
• Theater improvements and fixes.
• Further improvements to "Host Disadvantage" / "Lag Comp".
• Increased speed of YouTube uploads from 32k to 256k.
• Nerf to all Akimbo weapons (50% reduced fire rate).
• Shotgun re-balance (Slight nerf to Striker, slight buff to all other shotguns).
• Fix that prevents some users from not receiving their prestige token after prestiging.
• Fix stat bug that retains "games played" stat across prestiges.
• Improved voice chat quality. (PS3)
• HD video uploads to YouTube. (PS3)

• Damage Proficiency glitch

Modern Warfare 3 Update (Friday, December 16th, 2011)

• Added new games modes to the game. Hardcore Ricochet, Hardcore HQ Ricochet & Drop Zone

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.07 (Friday, December 16th, 2011)

• Improvement to address “Host Disadvantage” / “Lag Compensation” that caused hosts with good connections to be hindered.
• The ability to hot fix additional tweaks based on user feedback to this change.

Modern Warfare 3 Hotfix (Thursday, December 15th, 2011)

• PlayStation 3 hitmarker sound
• Adjust direct impact damage a Semtex does to a Juggernaut (No longer 1 hit kill)

Modern Warfare 3 Hotfix (Monday, December 12th, 2011)

• Fire rate normalization for Assault Rifles with undermounts
• FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
• Akimbo FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
• Type95 Re-balancing (Nerf) - Reduce hipspread.
• Fix for ACR with Red Dot / Shotgun
• Fix Type 95 bug related to dropping it.
• Fix map exploits on Dome.

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.06 (Friday, December 9th, 2011)

• Additional improvements to address lag.
• Fix for melee jump.
• Clan Tag Validation (remove buttons from clan tags).
• Improve host migration logic.
• Prevent stat loss.

Modern Warfare 3 Hotfix

• No Recoil glitch
• Infinite Laptop killstreak glitch (Stealth Bomber Glitch)
• Map Exploits (Getting into trucks, under maps) Fix
• Prevent Slow-mo and Super Fast lobbies.

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.05

• Further improvements for hitching and addressing lag in gameplay.

• Change to address hitching and lag in gameplay.

Another word for "nerf" would be "dumb down". In this case, Infinity Ward made the Striker weaker than it was previously. Whether they reduced the pellet count, range, damage or something else, we don't know.

Modern Warfare 3 Patch 1.12 Available For PS3 Updated patch a few days ago.

A new patch for Modern Warfare 3 is available for PlayStation 3 users. Patch 1.12 will be a 27MB download and is a mandatory update.
The new drop will include multiplayer map Black Box and two new special ops. In addition there will be six new trophies for special operation missions, Black Ice and Negotiator.
