Help us Create Great YouTube Commentators
Commentaries on YouTube, who doesn’t watch those? I watch a lot of them and quite enjoy watching them. But there is 1 thing that bothers me about the commentaries. It’s always the same people who I’m watching and listening to.
Now, that isn’t a bad thing. After all, there is a perfectly good reason they’re this popular. What I would like to do, is get a few more names closer to the category as the popular commentators. I know I can’t fight against the Machinima directors or have the same influence Machinima has, but I can try to help out commentators who are not as popular as, say WhiteBoy7thst or XJawz (no offense to all the other great commentators).
The way I will try to help the commentators is by sharing some (if not all) of their commentaries with the Call of Duty Community. The community views about 100,000 – 125,000 pages per month and even if a small portion of that goes towards the commentaries, it will help them out tremendously.
While I’m familiar with the more popular commentators on YouTube, I’m not so familiar with the semi-popular commentators. Commentators who have about 5,000 – 10,000 subscribers. These aren’t new people, but people who just need an extra push to make it to the next level.
This is the part where I need your help and input. What I need from you are names of YouTube users who could use a bit of a boost. So would you be kind enough to share some names of Call of Duty commentators who you think are great people, but don’t get the recognition they earn. After I get the names, I will have a look at their commentaries and try out a few of them on the Call of Duty Community website. If people enjoy some of the commentators, I will see if I can make this a more permanent thing.
To kick things off, please comment below with names of people (or URLs of channels) who you think are great commentators, but don’t get the recognition they earn.
