Call of the Community Charity Event
Update: The second Call of Community Charity Event will take place on January 22nd. More info here: Call of the Community 2 – Bigger & Better
I woke up this morning and decided to do the usual, check the statistics for this website. Everything looked to be in order, that is, until I checked what words people were typing into Google to land on our website.
“call of the community”, “call of community”, “callofcommunity” and so on. The first I thought of (before knowing about the Call of the Community charity event) was, really people? Is it so hard to type in “Call of Duty Community”? Then I thought, there must be a reason why people type in these words.
After some investigating and some help from Olizandri I figured out why you people were searching for those words. You were searching for the Call of the Community website. Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you, this isn’t it!
But while you’re here, let me tell you a bit about the Call of the Community charity event. As the name gives it a way, the event is for a charity. Better yet, it’s organised to collect money for and spread awareness about 3 charities. Those being;
- Gamers Outreach – http://GamersOutreach.org
- Thirst Relief – http://thirstrelief.org
- Anthony Nolan – http://anthonynolan.org
The event itself will be a huge Black Ops tournament with participation of some of the major gaming commentators on YouTube. Commentators such as Seananners, xJawz, Whiteboy7thst, XboxAhoy and on and on goes the list. The event is schedueled to start on Sunday July 17 at 3pm ET. The whole event will be watchable on 3 streams and if you’re a bit familiar with the Call of Duty scene, you wouldn’t be surprised to see Fwiz doing the coverage.
For more detailed information about the Call of the Community charity event, I suggest you watch TheAviator’s video explaining everything. Oh and, this is the Call of the Community website. Thanks for dropping by.
