MLG Dallas Second Day Recap for Black Ops
If you’re a real Call of Duty fan and you’re missing out on the MLG Dallas streams, you should be ashamed. The geek within me is just shouting and cheering with each match result, no matter who wins or loses.
To get to the point. If you missed out on the second day of MLG Dallas, but want to stay updated with what happened, we’ve got you covered. Or should I say Lish over at MLG got you covered as he’s written a nice recap of day 2 of MLG Dallas. Only for the game that matters of course. That game being Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Lish writes: Day 2 of the inaugural Call of Duty: Black Ops Event produced strikingly different results from Day 1, but with all of the customary excitement.
The top seeded Quantic Leverage picked up where they left off on Friday by storming their way to a Winners Bracket Finals berth. However, they did receive a scare from their Quantic counterparts NexTThreat along the way. After dropping the first two games of the Winners Bracket Round 6 matchup, the upstart NexTThreat squad rattled off consecutive victories to force a Game 5. The final game was a back-and-forth struggle on Firing Range Search and Destroy, with Leverage eventually gutting out a 4-3 win.
Joining Quantic Leverage in the Winners Bracket Finals tomorrow will be the eleventh seeded Resistance squad. Resistance made their way to the WB Finals via confident victories versus such big names as (2) Obey, (14) Icons, and (6) Quantic Influence, and seem to be primed to present Leverage with their stiffest challenge yet.
On the other side of the coin, the third seeded vVv Motivation will not be playing on Sunday after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Quantic Influence in Losers Bracket Round 9 play. The convincing win by Influence stamps their status as a legitimate contender. Along with Motivation, another highly ranked team to fall on Saturday was the fourth seeded Fear, who were toppled by the twelfth seeded EnvyUs 3-1 in a Losers Bracket Round 9 match.
The third, and last, day of MLG Dallas will start at 10 am CT with the Losers Bracket Round 11. Later today Major League Gaming will be crowning the first ever Call of Duty: Black Ops champions.
