Free Xbox Live Weekend For The Suckers

Be honest with me. How many of you haven’t played the multiplayer mode of Black Ops yet? The chances if you not having played the multiplayer mode is ridiculously small, but that doesn’t stop Activision from hosting a free Xbox Live multiplayer weekend. From January 28-30th Xbox Live players will be able to make use of Black Ops’ multiplayer mode free of charge. Black Ops will be the only game that’ll be free to play.

Just like you I’m all for free stuff, but this time I’m just disgusted with Activision’s marketing strategy. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand that Activision is trying to lure in as many suckers as humanly possible before Activision fires off Black Ops’ “First Strike” add-on pack February 1.

You can read about Activision’s free Xbox Live weekend in Activision’s press release.

Are you with me when I say that Activision’s only reason for holding this event is to lure in as many suckers as humanly possible so that they’ll eventually buy the map pack. Or do you think Activision is just being kind and thinks about their customers? Let me know what you think.
